What Is Self-Improvement?
The Door To The Rest of Your Life

'What is self-improvement?'

That's a question you're probably asking yourself, and I don't blame you,

It's a question I was contemplating when I was just starting out on all of this personal development stuff.

From what I noticed some people give a bad name to self-improvement, they see it as some cliché or some woohoo, positive thinking; 'just think good things and everything is perfect' type of thing,

It's not, (and I'm the first one to hate on clichés, they annoy me as well)

Look, self-improvement, personal development, call it what you want (it has like 5 names bro) just refers to you putting extra effort and attention into your growth, your personality and your life.

It's kinda like Life Design, or even better,

You know in video games you have a character with different skills that you level up?

You are that character!!

People would rather just level up in video games than in real life because it's easier to do and you see results quicker,

Unfortunately the character in your RPG enjoys his upgraded strength, while you are just left with an empty feeling and a weak body.

So...What is Self-Improvement?

It can be summed up in this quote alone;

im-getting-better-every-day-for-the-rest-of-my-life

That is what self-improvement is.

Getting better every day.

It's simple, we just complicate it.

So you need to ask yourself;

''Is what I'm doing helping me improve and get what I want?''

If the answer is a no, then change course. If it's a yes continue doing what you're doing.

So How Do You 'Self-Improve?'

While I do have an article that goes into it more deeply linked here :

How To Actually Do Self-Improvement (Since no-one ever explains it)

It's really as simple as reflecting on what you need to be better at and get better at it,

You can do it through reading, watching videos, buying courses etc

I also have an article on How To Learn Ultra Quickly Linked Here,

It goes through the whole process from figuring out what you want to learn, to finding information about it, practicing it and so on :

How To Learn & Improve 10x Faster (No Joke)

The Bad Mouth Around Courses

Now even if I hear the word 'course' I kinda cringe a little,

Like my brain goes on high alert,

'Is this guy tryna scam me?? Is this a waste of money?'

So I do get why you would be suspicious about courses, there have been (and still are) many creators who do it just for the sake of money and don't care if you actually get results from their product.

And while I'm not like that, I do understand if you have your doubts,

I just do this work because I love learning, and I love sharing what I learn, it gives me fulfillment, that feeling like I'm actually beneficial to humanity, (and it's always nice to make some money from it isn't it? I'm just being real)

I want to get across the message that I would not be telling you anything that I don't genuinely believe or have any doubts over, I just want to share my lessons learned to help you,

And if that means making you laugh, feel guilty, or making a fool of myself in order for you to learn, then I believe it's worth it.

Currently I don't even have anything for sale,

But if you don't wanna buy my stuff that's fine, there's always the free content that will still help you.

My Philosophy : The Greater Good

As I've grown older my beliefs have changed, and this is one of them which I want you to keep with you wherever you go, even if you never see my content again, at least take this with you.

And that is, Always Do Things For The Greater Good

If you wanna do something that you know you shouldn't, don't, things are better if you don't do it.

If you wanna say something that would unnecessarily hurt someone's feelings, don't.

If you wanna be a dickhead so you feel that adrenaline rush you get from it, don't.

Just as we delay gratification, a hard now for a better tomorrow, that sums up this philosophy.

And also don't forget, if you're going through a hard time don't get down on yourself or feel like the victim, I know it's tempting, and even feels safe and comfortable to do that, but don't, face it head on, be grateful for that hard time and appreciate that it will make you stronger, wiser, more mature and it will mold you into a better man.

That is what 'The Greater Good' is all about, doing things with the future/the result in mind.

Damn bro I sound like those motivational kids shows in the previous line haha.

'And that's kids, is what sharing is all about👶'
